The Portland Trail Blazers have one of the more unique nicknames in the league as the term "Rip City" was coined in the 70's by an announcer doing play by play. This term has been applied to the Nike jerseys they wear in the "city edition." The cream color base is different than their normal red and black base. Their primary colors are highlighted on each side of the jersey. The Rip City term is boldy placed on the front in unusual font type. The red and black primary colors move from the sides around to the sleeve and neck areas. There's a nice v-neck feature as well. Overall the Blazers Rip City jerseys are unique for the simple fact that the name is one people wont forget....Rip City!
